Details
- Producer Description: Lisini first appeared on our list back in 1992, and we are glad to see them back on again. Lisini's vineyards are located in the warm southerly commune of Sant Angelo in Colle, where ripeness is not a problem. The wines also have the fragrance which is essential to Montalcino.
- Region Description: Montalcino is famed for its Sangiovese based Brunello di Montalcino. This special clone of sangiovese was developed by the areaメs most prestigious producer, Biondi Santi, in the late 19th Century for its highly aromatic profile and its ability to produce wines of elegance and great ageing potential. There are many producers in this area making wines of deep colours and intense concentration, but this is not what Montalcino is all about. Brunello should be an elegant, crisp wine with high acidity, more Burgundy than California.
