- Producer Description: Fattoria Montellori is situated in Fucecchio, between Pisa and Florence. Due to the relative obscurity of the are the wines offer exceptional value for money. Alessandro and Eva Nieri have introduced a regime of excellence at the estate which includes the hiring of the ex Ornellaia winemaking team of Danny Schuster and Andrea Paoletti. White wines are taken seriously here, sourced from their vineyards located near Vinci at an altitude of 500 metres.
- Region Description: Chianti is without doubt Tuscanyﾒs most famous red. The wine is based on varying quantities of the sangiovese grape which is often blended with other local varieties such as Colorino and Ciliegielo, but newly released laws allow the introduction of international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. A stunningly beautiful region of mountains, well worth a visit.
